This production of On Your Toes opened on Broadway on March 6, 1983 at the Virginia Theater (now the August Wilson Theater) and closed May 20, 1984 after 505 performances.

The original production of On Your Toes opened on Broadway on April 11, 1936 at the Imperial Theater, transferred to the Majestic Theater on November 9, 1936 and closed on January 23, 1937 after 315 performances.
