THE WILD PARTY (2015 CITY CENTER)

THE WILD PARTY (2015 CITY CENTER) (16th July 2015)
https://1fichier.com/?j29c3xmh9pvdfr7n2hnz

Book, Music, and Lyrics by Andrew Lippa

Choreographed by Sonya Tayeh

Directed by Leigh Silverman

Starring  Ryan Andes, Brandon Victor Dixon, Sutton Foster, Joaquina Kalukango, Talene Monahon, Steven Pasquale, and Miriam Shor

With Renée Albulario,  Penelope Armstead-Williams, James Brown III, Rachel De Benedet, Raymond J. Lee, Kenita R. Miller, Sydney Morton, Clifton Oliver, Charlie Pollock, Britton Smith, Ryan Steele, and Samantha Sturm

Andrew Lippa’s tragic Jazz Age love story The Wild Party follows party girl Queenie over the course of one decadent, booze-soaked night as she and her lover Burrs (Steven Pasquale) throw the party to end all parties–with a guest list of vaudevillians, hookers, and a handsome stranger (Brandon Victor Dixon) who offers Queenie the hope of a less tawdry life. Her raised consciousness is reflected in a new final song, “Happy Endings,” to which Ms. Foster — who won Tonys for “Thoroughly Modern Millie” and “Anything Goes” — gives her considerable all. The Wild Party is based on Joseph Moncure March’s searing 1928 narrative poem of the same name, and premiered Off-Broadway in 2000.
