Dos hermanos artistas de variedades desde pequeños. Corren los "alarmantes" años 40 en el momento en que Norte América confirma su participación en la segunda guerra mundial. José quiere sostener su legado familiar en el vaudeville. Juan, el menor, desea un cambio drástico para su vida.

Con una puesta despojada el espacio escénico estará compuesto por un carro de carga y valijas apiladas en él. Con el devenir de la acción las valijas irán ocupando diferentes lugares, definiendo ámbitos mientras despliegan vestuarios, objetos, accesorios, canciones, bailes y destrezas que irán dando sentido a la historia. En una zona liminal, un ensamble de jazz acompañará los momentos musicales del vodevil pero también será el paisaje sonoro de trastiendas y estaciones de tren. Llegará entonces, luego del viaje, el momento de elegir si el show debe continuar.
