The first studio recording of the Slovak version of Jesus Christ Superstar dates back to 1981. It was almost a decade before the pre-translated Czech translation. The Gaudium group and its guests took care of its appearance. In the group, Marcel Šiškovic, the author of the first original Slovak gospels, co-authored the first record of the Slovak gospel, or the first big cross of the Cross.

Recording

The recording was created in the garage of the family house in Ruzomberok and was adapted to the scope of the hourly MG cassette. The recordings are surprising by accurate music studying. Texts are more literal translation than translation. The record is missing from the original Overture and the second half of the second act.
