Description: In his bestseller Edmund de Waal unrolled the story of his family, a powerful clan of Jewish businessmen, on the basis of an heirloom: a collection of Netsuke, Japanese carvings that survived World Wars and persecution of the Jews. - The commissioned work of the Landestheater is a heart project for Henry Mason, who grew up in Linz.
"Henry Mason, who dramatized and directed the world bestseller The Hare with the Amber Eyes, is a master of storytelling and has a hundred little tricks on hand when it comes to switching between times, places, and generations. ... Thomas Zaufke created the fantastic music to the piece, with brisk earwigs. ... Edmund de Waal has inherited a great story, which was cleverly and sensitively packaged at the Landestheater. Absolutely go! "
