NOCHE CORTA
Una obra de Ricky Pashkus

El teatro musical conceptual (o "Concept Musical") se caracteriza por contar a través de canciones una emoción o estado o comentario social. Lo empezaron a hacer Kurt Weill y Bertolt Brecht y también lo hizo Stephen Sondheim (con "Company", cuya excusa del cumpleaños de Bobby era para presentar el amor(?) en las parejas casadas, o también en "Assassins" para reunir a todos los magnicidas americanos en una feria o parque de diversiones y de paso contar que se siente apretar el gatillo frente a un presidente). Noche Corta es un musical conceptual: tiene un tema a tratar de desarrollar (como hago para no pensar más en mi ex) y belleza visual en la puesta. Un hombre gay desolado por haber sido dejado por su amante, quien hoy convive con otro, retrata su pesar con la ayuda de dos cantantes (cual coro griego) y los nuevos tórtolos y sus proezas de danza. Alejandro Paker brilla en todo momento. Su interpretación de "Cry Me A River" debería mostrarse en clases de canto y actuación. Es sublime. Florencia Benitez le pone garra y canta muy bien. Acompaña Lili Popovich. Los bailarines (Facundo Mazzei y Patricio Sauc) son muy buenos en la danza, pero mejor no darles texto. Pero Pashkus no es Sondheim y lo mucho a veces redunda. Tener a los personajes discutiendo si "amar" es más que "idolatrar" o viceversa, no suma, empobrece. Fuimos la noche del estreno. Quizás todo encuentre su cauce con el devenir de las funciones.
Noche Corta se presenta en el Teatro Apolo.
